FAQ
Common questions
If your question isn't here, call 877-48-WOUND or email dan@gatewaywoundcare.com.
Where do you visit?
We visit patients at home, in assisted living, in skilled nursing, and in rehab across Greater Kansas City (Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass on the Missouri side, plus Johnson and Wyandotte on the Kansas side). Our administrative office is at 400 Chesterfield Center, Suite 400, Chesterfield, MO 63017.
How fast can you see a new referral?
Same-week visits are standard. For urgent cases (worsening DFU, suspected infection, post-discharge with active drainage) we routinely see patients within 24–48 hours.
How do I refer a patient?
Call 877-48-WOUND or email dan@gatewaywoundcare.com. Discharge planners, SNF DONs, ALF directors, home health agencies, physician offices, and families can all refer directly.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. We bill Medicare Part B and most major commercial plans. We verify benefits before the first visit so patients and families know what to expect.
What conditions do you treat?
Diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries (Stage I–IV), venous leg ulcers, post-surgical wounds, surgical site infections, chronic non-healing wounds, and NPWT (wound vac) cases.
Do you bring supplies?
Yes. Our NPs carry the dressings, debridement instruments, and NPWT supplies needed for routine visits. Specialty orders are coordinated through our office.
Can you coordinate with our home health agency?
Yes — that's most of what we do. We share visit notes back to the agency, coordinate dressing changes between RN visits, and serve as the wound-focused specialist alongside the RN's broader plan.
Are you hiring?
Yes. We're hiring nurse practitioners, advanced-practice RNs, DOs, and DPMs across Kansas City Metro. Send a CV to dan@gatewaywoundcare.com.
